Long past time to begin including our customers in this space, so let's begin with John Petersen. Why John? For starters, he's a City Bakery customer from when we first opened in 1990. In those earliest years, I knew John as the guy with everybody's favorite dog in the neighborhood [Monty]. My other detail on John: he's they guy who you can watch strangers stare at while wondering if he's actually Bruce Willis. These days, I'm happy to see John loitering and drinking at our new juice bar, which he seems to appreciate almost as much as I appreciate a 21-year devoted customer.
